The Artist of Western Sahara

Mohammed, a local sculptor and painter, shares his calling to to create “a stir to end the stagnation of my people” - the Sahrawis’ - through art as they struggle for recognition from the isolated refugees camps in Western Sahara. He uses materials from dumping sites to collect tires, nails, and bottles, molding them into breathtaking pieces the world cannot ignore.
